Interesting fact:
2 of my coworkers, Michelle and Mike are reading this book about Korea. I don't really know what the book is about, just that its KINDA a history book, but it also explains why Korea is so screwed up.
A funny thing that Michelle was telling me the other day that the book shed light on... Apparently in the year of my birth (1985), the South Koreans had decided to build a wall around Korea. This wall was to serve as a deterrent to those North Koreans who would be possibly hostile. Ok... fine. What doesn't make sense is why they started the wall construction in the SOUTH.
North Korea is to the north, for those of you that don't know.
Hilarious.
Plus.... in 1985 there were airports and planes and LADDERS and other things that could be used to get over a wall.
Yes fine, the Great Wall of China was a great obstacle for the Mongolians in the freakin 200 B.C. before such modern technology as the WHEEL and some such things were invented.
Geez. South Koreans are SO behind the times and DUMB. Explains so much of my day to day life....

Picture update and whatnot.
Update time.
I haven't blogged in a long time for various reasons. I've been sick. Well, thats not really an excuse because I've been sick since I got to Korea. It just gets worse and then subsides to a dull pain and then gets progressively worse. Off and on. Never truly going away. Fun.
Not a lot of new stuff ever happens around here. I have taken a couple random small trips to places around Seoul which I am posting pictures of here shortly.
I continue with my day to day work. I love my students because they are adorable, but they give me a headache everyday. I was never meant to listen to screaming children on a daily basis... But they are certainly cute.
Here are some updated photos:
First off: Michelle and I went to Seoul North Tower one day and also visited the Teddy Bear Museum. I expected it to be more like... teddy bears throughout Korean history. Instead it was Korean history with teddy bears as the people. Really odd.
Some photos:

Me on the bus

Michelle on the bus

Couples bring locks up to the north tower and write messages on them and then lock them to the fence

Another couple putting one on the fence. Cute

Seoul. And this was one of the clearer days. Smog everywhere. Totally disgusting.

In another direction. This city literally goes on for forever

Continuous...

Michelle and I

Me at the Teddy Bear Museum

"HEYYY there traditionally dressed Korean bears!"

Yea... I thought it was going to be different too... its just korean history with a bunch of bears instead of people.

SUICIDAL BEAR!!

Rock on

He's mine!
WAR MEMORIAL!

Yesss. I am a quick learner.

Inside a Korean warship I guess.... cool

One of the many good things that come out of the kids stealing your camera....

This is what happens when I turn to help another student... Ronnie gets jealous

Then I tickle him and this is where he ends up.... again.

This is what happens when I sit down. Ronnie is my little buddy.

Alice is too cute to resist

I'm taking her back to the U.S. with me under one arm like a potato sack. HA
